your birthday today?

Search results take a few seconds and open in a  new window. May need to allow Pop Ups to see results.

All our holidays are validated with sponsors or organizations; or, we  validate the source or origin for an observance to prove it's not made up.
We do not have holidays for every single day of the year. Sites that do, IMHO are making some of their days up.  Beware!
Also, some observances that are validated through website links, can't be updated until their websites update their 2010  information.

Visiting us is free! Our Holiday information is free.   We have always paid all costs and remained ad free as well.

Full Moon on  the 21st  is called "Cold Moon" by Native Americans of New England and the Great Lakes because at this time of the year the nights are long, the days are short and so less sunlight means more cold days.

On December 21, there will also be a total lunar eclipse of the moon.
This will be visible in Europe, east Asia, Australia, the Pacific Ocean region, and the Americas.
